Bright Sunshine after 2 weeks of pessimism

Today morning, I saw what I was missing badly from last 2 weeks: The Sun. It was raining cats and dogs (as an outsider I perceive Mumbai rain like that only) since last two and a half weeks. Even afternoons were so dark that I started doubting even existence of Sun. In my fancied thoughts, I thought may be God Hanuman mistook Sun again for an Orange and Varun Dev (Rain God) was trying to hide this minor glitch and was waiting for digestion cycle of Sri Hanuman to get complete. While my Mumbaikar friends were trying to make me believe that it is normal to have weather like that in Mumbai, me being from driest part of this great nation, it was hard to digest. First 1-2 days of rain were pleasant (who don’t want a respite from  humid heat of Mumbai), absence of Sunlight for a prolonged period made me feel helpless and unhappy. Happenings in political and economical environment aggravated unhappiness into near depression.

I tried to break monotony by a trip to nearby trekking station. This trip on Saturday incited new excitement but Sunday made sure that all gains made a day earlier were wiped off. It also killed plans to visit a dear friend and robbed me an opportunity to eat food cooked by him (A big opportunity if you have to eat food cooked by a maid who thinks extra salt in food of day 2 can make amends for lack of salt in food of day 1).
Earlier, Cricket used to help me in such scenarios. Everything was going great as a cricket fan, India dominating, winning against all opposition including Pakistan. Still, it was not working this time for me. There was a feeling of something missing. I was missing 'The God'. And then I figured out it was not just me, even Rain Gods of England and Wales were missing him (That’s why so many interruption in the so many games). Sounds Insane? Please pardon me. As a Sachinist, I am habitual of crediting everything to Sachin just as a Congressi credits the Family for everything good (People expect my writings to be politicalJ, If you are new please read my older posts and you will know more).

Meanwhile, optimism is spreading everywhere (May be its just in mood), pigeons are playing in my balcony and it’s really refreshing to watch. May be you will also like to see some photographs that I clicked some days ago here
